Research reveals alarming habits of underage drinkers

ONE in four underage drinkers consumes more than 20 units of alcohol a week, a survey claimed.
Researchers found alarming habits among thousands of youths aged 14 to 17 in north-west England. One in two young people admitted drinking to get drunk, one in 20 drink alone and one in six regretted having sex after consuming alcohol.

It also found the number of teenagers drinking alcohol at least once a week has dropped from 50 per cent in 2005 to 38 per cent in 2009.

It will never be possible to totaly cut out underage drinking but shopkeepers and parents have to take responsibility for the problem that now engulfs our streets.

harsh punishments for traders selling to underage drinkers along with improved Enforcement capability

Parents who turn a blind eye and worse such as allowing 16-17 year olds to use false ID TO GAIN ENTRY TO PUBS N CLUBS

This is news????

This kind of thing has been happening since time immemorial.

For christs sake stop bl00dy knee-jerking. Scotland does not have a drink problem any more than anywhere else in the world has a drink problem.
