Operation for hospital bear

A MASCOT bear which raises funds for the Sick Kids Hospital has gone under the knife.
After years of touring round schools and making public appearances, PJ Bear – a familiar face with families and staff associated with the hospital – needed some maintenance.
Ocean Terminal's Build a Bear workshop offered to take on the work, which involved re-stuffing and fixing a hole which appeared in his chest.
Corporate & Events Fundraiser at the hospital, Hannah Daly, said: "With a bandaged wrist and ankle, a floppy head and plasters stuck all over his fur, PJ Bear was looking awful and feeling even worse."
