CONSERVATIVE leader Annabel Goldie marked the 60th anniversary of the National Health Service yesterday by giving blood.
She said the work of the Blood Transfusion Service was a vital part of the NHS, adding: "The fact we have a health service that takes care of everyone is one of the greatest gifts we enjoy, and a gift that we should, if we can, repay."

Annabel Goldie is so good. She never misses a photo op. And as for her performance at FMQ's she is outstanding. As someone observed Alex Salmond snuggles up to her. I suspect just like a python snuggles up to a plump rat !

WOW - she gave blood....that quashes a few rumours!
But really so what, thousands of Scots give blood regularly, this is a little insulting photo-op....

Did Miss Goldie not feel uneasy about donating her blue blood to an organisation with the official title: Scottish NATIONAL Blood Transfusion Service?

According to the SNBTS website the idea of blood transfusion was pioneered in Edinburgh, and SNBTS is one of the earliest NATIONAL blood transfusion services founded anywhere in the world.

Gosh! Genetically pure nationalist Scots will now have to carry a card: “IF FOUND UNCONSCIOUS NOT TO BE GIVEN ANABEL’S BLOOD”

Big deal. There are planty of ordinary people that give blood on a regular basis.

This is a bit like that old Hancock sketch. She'll be wanting a badge next.
