A DRUG trial at a clinic in Scotland has been suspended following the death of a participant.
The clinic stopped the treatment study after Peter Munro was reported to have suffered a heart attack.

Mr Munro, 48, a former security guard, was taken to hospital after arriving at the Charles River clinic in Edinburgh for a repeat dose of the drug a week ago. Staff detected a heart abnormality during a health check.

His family said he died on Saturday, five days after returning to his home in Edinburgh.

Charles River, a firm based in the United States, said the study had been suspended for an investigation.

A spokeswoman said her sympathies were with Mr Munro's family.

His sisters, Jean and Yvonne, said they were are seeking legal advice over his death.

They said he became involved in the trial after running up debts to catalogues.
