GREEN MSP Patrick Harvie will lead the Scottish Green Party next year, with former MSP Eleanor Scott as his co-leader.
Mr Harvie, one of only two of the party's MSPs returned last year, succeeds Robin Harper; Ms Scott succeeds Councillor Alison Johnstone. Mr Harper and Ms Johnstone stood down earlier this year.

This article is extremely oddly worded. Is it not true that Harvie and Scott will have equal standing as joint leaders? If so, how is Harvie 'the leader' with Scott as 'his' co-leader?

I agree - who cares. Maybe next year it will be a Buggins' turn and they will be able to adopt slightly different positions in the telephone box HQ.

What a gay day indeed for the Greens, lead by a left wing dreamer.

Congratulations to both of them.

I like Patrick Harvie. Don't know so much about Eleanor Scott, except that she is Rob Gibson's bidie-in, but she seems a good sort.

Good luck to them both.

As usual the Greens are a complete shambles- Who allowed them into parliament? in the first place? Oh I know - the daftest voting system in the western world.

I like scottish greens. They are really tasty when lightly boiled and served with a roast dinner.

Congragulations to Mr Harvie and Ms Scott.

Like poster 5 I don't know much about Ms Scott but have been impressed with Mr Harvie, as I was with his predecessor.
