FORMER MSP Tommy Sheridan is to stand for election to Westminster, bidding to win the Glasgow seat being vacated by former Speaker Michael Martin.
Mr Sheridan, leader of Solidarity, said: "If I get elected, I will take no more than an average worker's wage. I would campaign to abolish the disgraced and disgusting expenses system that lets MPs make a fortune on the back of taxpayers."

The by-election in Glasgow North-East may not take place until November.
