Nurse loses unfair sacking claim

A NURSE sacked for physically abusing a mentally ill resident in his care has lost his unfair dismissal claim after an employment tribunal in Glasgow.
James Lamb, 59, a nurse at Eastercroft House in Caldercruix, Lanarkshire, was accused of punching the resident after he had hit out at another nurse and attempted to grab a female nurse's breast.
