Festival slot for gay bishop

A GAY bishop whose ordination provoked a rift in the Anglican Church is coming to Edinburgh next month to give a speech.
American bishop Gene Robinson will be joined by the grandson of former Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi at this year's Festival of Spirituality and Peace.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Mairead Corrigan Maguire will take part in an event in the Scottish Parliament, which will link up to the city's Festival of Politics.

With 150 events over three weeks, this year's spirituality festival is the biggest to date.
