In a political climate where the UK has few friends, it may be time for home nations to take turn about if we are to win the event again
HIGH-PITCH screeching angels, bearded back-up singers and flag-waving patriotism. It could only be Eurovision and, as Abba sang, we "couldn't escape if we wanted to". It's been a long time since Waterloo took the crown in the annual song contest, and...

Back in the 1960s, when Kenneth MacKellar represented the UK, he was told at the last moment by the BBC to don his kilt. It had no effect on the outcome.

What they have on this waste on time and money cannot be called music.
Anyone who has seen central and eastern european tv and their Friday Night at The Palladium type shows knows how rubbish it is!

Don't see how we should pay Terry Wogan an over inflated salary for years for this cows manure. Waste of License Fee for years. Yes Terry do us all a favour and go away never to return.

""Scotland is well liked and regarded and, with the talent we've got, we could put together a fantastic Eurovision bid. It's a bit of fun, but the UK had its chance so give the four home nations their chance." "

Yes, the people will vote for the country that sends idiots in kilts to watch their football, get drunk, p*ss in their gardens and vomit in the streets.

Terry Wogan is a xenophobic moron who has no wit and no grasp of geography. The event was won by the Russian Robbie Williams and Britain entered a guy who lost a reality show 3 years ago.

As long as it is broadcast by a Scottish Broadcasting Corporation ,it will be much improved. The BBC is not fit for purpose and is far too dear. Millions of pounds for a compere and no cash to fix those nimrod air planes flying over our heads? Its obscene Westminster folly.

yea - thats right - get your nationalist views stuck RIGHT in there.. i mean of course, those idiots in holyrood would do a far better job than a parliament that has given Britain its superior status for the past few hundred years...

But yes. we'd have 4 times more chance if they send all four nations in..

#10#.Yup, England needs to feel superior, Scots just want equality , not colonial status in this last remnant of the British Empire. As for Hollyrood ,it is now doing a better job than the mother in law of parliaments at Westminster. Proof? All the envious comments from south of the border about how well the Scots are doing.

I'd back a Scottish entry 100%, but I don't see how anything Scottish has to be somehow draped in tartan. British=good, Scottish=bad. What a stupid argument.
Is this a unionist perspective of how Scotland should present itself to the world?
