VISITORS to the EU could face digital fingerprinting at airports under plans to shake up border security, it was announced yesterday.
The tougher controls could also include a satellite surveillance system monitoring the union's entire territory.

The proposals are designed to reinforce controls and counter fears about security following last December's extension of the EU's internal passport-free "Schengen" area to nine of the newer member states in central Europe.

And Franco Frattini, the EU commissioner, said it was up to the UK and Ireland – not Schengen members and currently retaining their own border control arrangements – to decide whether to join in.

The proposals will have to be agreed by member states and MEPs.

Good. I am glad this is being done because it will possibly weed out the terrorists, fraudsters, economic migrants, and other undesireables.

If ONLY we had that in Canada it would solve many of our social ills.

Canadian fool.

Can't you see what's happening? Get ready for a full blown police state.

10 steps to a fascist dictatorship:
1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy (9/11 and 7/7)
2. Create a gulag (political correctness and Guantánamo Bay)
3. Develop a thug caste
4. Set up an internal surveillance system
5. Harass citizens' groups
6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release
7. Target key individuals
8. Control the press (BBC, Scotsman etc)
9. Dissent equals treason
10. Suspend the rule of law (Civil Contingencies Act 2004)

Where are we?

1. Since 1972 The Queen has illegally signed five of the six EU Treaties.

2. The five treaties define and build the EU as an unelected dictatorship.

3. The EU's laws, passed by Westminster, give it the powers of a police state.

4. The sixth EU treaty will complete the abolition of Britain as a nation
- the Queen is due to sign it this year.

A foreign power, the EU, will then rule us, and enforce the laws of a police state.
