EU welcomes Netanyahu stance

THE presidency of the European Union today welcomed yesterday's speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, pictured, giving his endorsement – albeit with conditions – to a Palestinian state.
"It is a step in the right direction. The acceptance of a Palestinian state was there," Czech foreign minister Jan Kohout said.
