AN Edinburgh band who played a support slot for rock legends The Police have been lined up for a city music festival.
We See Lights, who have only been playing together since the start of the year, will be one of the main acts at Fringe Sunday.
Despite only being together a few months, the group have impressed enough to be given a gig at the Isle of Wight Festival, where they played before Sting's reformed band. Now they have been named among the acts who will be playing to thousands at this year's big Fringe event in the Meadows on August 10
More than 500 musicians from across the UK applied online for the chance to perform on the Performing Rights Society (PRS) New Music Stage.
Ellis Rich, chairman of PRS, said: "We are proud to continue sponsoring this great live event, providing a fantastic opportunity for new and emerging artists to perform their original music to the Edinburgh Fringe crowds."
