Man did not pay TV licence for 7 years

A MAN who has refused to pay his television licence for nearly seven years has finally received a court summons from the BBC, it has emerged.
John Kelly, 70, refused to pay the £142.50 annual fee over "biased reporting". Mr Kelly, from Devon, said the BBC's reporting on Britain's membership of the European Union did not comply with the Royal Charter.

Could be the start of something. If everyone who is dissatisfied with the EBC refused to pay, perhaps they would change their Common Purpose inspired ways and be more accountable to the people who pay their bruddy wages.

I must confess to having a lot of sympathy for Mr Kelly. The BBC reporting on Europe immigration and anything to do with multiculturalism and political correctness is bad.

In fact, it's worse than just bad. There is a discernable and persistent bias to such an extent, that it could be accurately deemed a political position.

Asking those of us, opposed to this biased position, not only breaches the BBC's charter as Mr Kelly says, but it is also a possible breach of Article 9 of the ECHR (right to freedom of thought and conscience), becuase it forces us to fund a political organisation, whose political position we profoundly disagree with.

The BBC News on cable here in China,is so far left as to be almost circular!Check out the backgrounds of those reporting (on Google)If they are not arab,muslim etc, they have lived there for aeons. Adverts are,for Dubai,Abu Dhabi,Malaysia,Turkey etc.To break the monotony then there is "Inside Africa" programmes advertised at almost every advert break.
BBC lost all credibility years ago,CNN is little better with Christiane Amanpour and the rest of her breed.
Now if John Kelly tells them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine, what then? A prison holiday where he won't have to pay a license fee either.He can surf the internet too and learn other anti-social traits whilst incarcerated. BBC? Pack of AfroArab marxist dross! Expensive dross at that.
Watched Blackadder the other day, it would never air now, too PC, but FUNNNNNNEEEEEE!

I've not paid the mighty BBC in 19yrs and unlike him I wont be taken to court because I've not communicated with the BBC so they have nothing on me.

This whole situation though has highlighted that the BBC doesn't need proof in taking people to court which is an abuse of the law to say the least. If you've read everything he doesn't actually say he needs a BBC TV Licence!
