MALICE IN WONDERLAND (15) *

DIRECTED BY: SIMON FELLOWS STARRING: DANNY DYER, MAGGIE GRACE, NATHANIEL PARKER, PAUL KAYE
YOU can probably guess from the title that this low-budget Brit flick is a re-imagining of Lewis Carroll's classic. The presence of Danny Dyer, meanwhile, has likely tipped you off to the fact that it's a) set in a world of Brit gangsters, and b) not very good. Lost's Maggie Grace plays Alice, a US heiress suffering from drug-induced amnesia. After being knocked over by Dyer's narcotics-procuring cabbie, she tumbles down a symbolic rabbit hole into a weird urban netherworld full of sinister approximations of Carroll's characters. A bad trip in every way possible.
