LUCINDA LEDGERWOOD today said she was glad to get out of The Apprentice after becoming the latest candidate to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar.
The 32-year-old Edinburgh businesswoman said she was not disappointed to have missed out on the job with the tycoon, dismissing the role as a "sales" position.

Lucinda, 31, from Leith Links – who had never seen the BBC1 show before she applied to be a contestant – was fired a week before the final show in the fourth series.

She criticised the behaviour of the other candidates towards her, saying their actions verged on bullying.

But she said she did not regret going on the show. Sir Alan told Lucinda she was "too zany" when he fired her.

But she said: "The right decision was made. I was pleased to have gone. At that point I'd had enough."

She's got the right idea. After Alex made a joke of himself trying to sell her out, she is right to be glad to be off. She was too good for them.

She did seem kind of useless, but certainly she should have given some of the bullies a bit of stick. Pouring hot tea down their underwear would have livened things up a bit.

On the other hand, the writers clearly want prats on the show, so we shouldn't really be surprised that there were some.

On second thoughts, Lucinda was at her best in the interviews and, unlike other candidates, did stand her gound in the interviews where other candidates didn't.

Three of the interviewers should have been fired for unprofessional and bullying behaviour. I hope for their sakes that their antics were purely for the show rather than a reflection of their competence.

In the "You're Fired" show afterwards, Lucinda showed better than average (for the candidates at least) intelligence in calculation of what others were thinking.

She could badly use a basic course in Information Technology though.

In my humble opinion I think Lucinda stood out head and shoulders above the rest - although was surprised about her lack of IT skills.

She kept her dignity and honour which is far more than I can say for the remainder.

Yes she was bullied. But she held her own and she should be proud of her behaviour.
