Bob Dylan awarded honorary Pulitzer Prize

SINGER-SONGWRITER Bob Dylan was awarded an honorary Pulitzer Prize today as this year's winners were unveiled in New York.
The performer was cited for his "profound impact on music and American culture, marked by compositions of extraordinary poetic power".

The Washington Post won six prizes – the most in its history.
