Too many Spice Girls, too little commonsense

IT IS fashion's loss and the Trade Description Act's gain that I do not own a T-shirt bearing the legend "too many boys, too little time". I am led to believe however, that I am in the minority in not owning such an article. They are en vogue, and have been for some time, particularly among the under eights, although Victoria Beckham's got one too.
They are perhaps the best example I can give of why we now live in a society where teenage girls value being sexy over clever, a fact brought wholeheartedly to light this week with the publication of a book by an American academic called Carol Liebau...
