Getting hot under the collar over sunbed use

I AM ignoring the snow. It's quite easy to do if you live in the city and don't get up before 10am on weekends, by which time it's melted into the sort of gungy slush you'd be surprised if you didn't see in the city before 10am on weekends.
Instead, I am keeping the curtains closed, and – in a desperate attempt to pretend that summer is at the door and not stuck in a traffic jam half-way down the M8 – lathering on the fake tan.
