STAFF and students at a Lothians college have donated £1000 to a breast cancer charity.
They raised £837 through a series of events at West Lothian College and it was topped up by Armadale MOT Test Centre so they could donate £1000 to the West Lothian Breast Cancer Support Group. Students took part in "wear it pink" days and marathon treadmill runs and offered nail and facial treatments in return for donations.

Claire Glen, head of sector for image, beauty and fitness, said: "We were delighted to be able to raise this money for the local group and our students really rose to the challenge."

Nan McDonald from the breast cancer group said: "I am delighted to accept this donation from the students.

"It is an amazing amount of money and will be put to very good use."
