Yolanda Fisher, 14, took six months to create the instrument as part of a class project at the Rudolf Steiner School in Merchiston.

Yolanda, who also plays the flute, piano and recorder, said: “I’ve been playing the harp for eight years.

“When I was given the opportunity to make my own from scratch, I jumped at the chance and was determined throughout the process.

“Playing a harp that I’ve made myself is marvellous.”
