A NEW sports masters degree is being launched at a city university.
The MSc in Sport Performance Enhancement will be available for this year’s intake of students at Napier University.

The degree will appeal to graduate students from a variety of disciplines – including sport science, coaching science and psychology – who want to extend their study of sport performance.

Dr Tony Westbury, life sciences lecturer at Napier, said: “

The award of the 2012 Olympic Games to London and 2014 Commonwealth Games to Glasgow has led to increased funding for sport at all levels, from the funding of existing elite performers to the talent identification and development programmes aimed at spotting potential medal winners.

“This course will enable graduates to have more scope when looking for careers in applied sports science.”
