IT IS true that the two best things about being a teacher are the months of July and August. With 47 days to while away before returning to the House of Pain, Sir is a Timelord with not a Dalek in sight.
Non-teaching friends may trump my salary but I have my ace in the holidays.

My usual summer routine is to whisk my younger children, Suzanne (17) and Paul (15), off on a wallet-emptying package holiday to Greece but, in a rare stroke of good fort...
