KIRSTY Young, the Crimewatch and Desert Island Discs presenter, is to be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Stirling next month to mark her "outstanding contribution" to television and radio, it was announced yesterday.

Quite! But do bear in mind that the honorary doctorate was bestowed by ... Stirling University.

Stirling Uni must be a lot better than Edinburgh, at least we know they are not as bad.

Not a bad choice actually, as she is a very intellegent girl. Bit slinky too.
