SCOTLAND will lose a generation of actors unless drama degrees are properly funded and teaching practice changed, a leading academic has warned.
Anthony Cohen, the principal of Queen Margaret University, said the financing of the country's two top drama facilities had fallen to such a level that they were now unsustainable.
He said both Queen Margaret and The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama were finding it tough to maintain their performance degrees as a result of this.
