CONSULTATION on plans to replace Standard grades with a new qualification has been launched by the Scottish Government.
Parents will also be given their say on the new school curriculum currently being piloted in schools.

The Curriculum for Excellence has faced criticism: independent schools refused to implement it because it was not “ready”. Others feared parents would believe their children were being used as guinea pigs if they were not kept informed.

Parents can answer questions on the Scottish Government website at www.scotland.gov.uk/consultations until 31 October.
