AN Edinburgh University scientist has warned that the Government is "dithering" and lacks leadership over the implementation of a key weapon in the flight against climate change.
Professor Stuart Hazeldine is an expert in carbon capture and storage systems, a technology that allows fossil fuel burning power plants to capture harmful emissions and store them safely.

The technology has been hailed as a central feature of carbon emission reduction strategies by governing bodies in the UK, the EU and the USA. However, Mr Hazeldine said that work has not been progressing fast enough.

They're probably delaying it whiles the eco-nazis think up some or other stupid objection to it.

Don't you mean the petrolfume taleban will grasp at any straw after all every mail I have exer seen under your head denies the existence of Accelerated Climate Change.
So why plant millions of trees to solve a problem you deny exists.

You should be decrying it as yet another waste of money

Maybe the reason why they are planting all these trees is because they are helping to destroy the Borneo's rainforests - one of the greenest places on Earth to produce bio diesel containing palm oil.

The UN have said the entire rainforest will be gone in 15 years, and the native wild orang-utan extinct in just 10 years so all this saving the planet tree-hugging is doing more harm than good.

If Prof. Hazeldine is so clever, why ain't he rich?
That's what he keeps asking himself, and why he is narked that 'the work is not progressing fast enough'.

The guy might be an expert in carbon capture but, like many academics, he lacks any common sense. Of course he's got a vested interest in promoting his 'solution' to a problem that has not been scientifically proven to exist.
