Classes show how to stay safe on web
CHILDREN and parents will be shown how to stay safe on the internet during a series of training sessions.
East Lothian Council and Lothian and Borders Police will be running the evenings from next month.
They are aimed at children aged nine to 18 and their parents.
Ollie Bray, depute head of Musselburgh Grammar School, will be looking at social networking sites, instant messaging services and other websites to highlight the potential dangers.
He will also be giving advice on protecting home computers from online fraud.
He will be joined by Pc David Gunn. Both are accredited ambassadors of the Child Exploitation Online Protection Agency.
