Festival ticket sales on the up

MORE than 83 per cent of tickets for the Edinburgh International Festival were sold last summer, it emerged yesterday. The figure is the highest in a decade and up from 71 per cent in 2006.
Next year's festival will run from 8-31 August.

That's strange - ever since the close of this year's Festival(s), the Scotsman has run a series of articles to the effect that the EIF is on the way out. Shurely shome mishtake.
