Drag comic's choir audition is not a joke
A DRAG queen comedian has launched a talent competition to find a choir to perform with her at this year's Fringe.
Tina C, the comic creation of Chris Green, is looking for singers to provide backing for her country and western songs.
She is now set to hold X Factor-style auditions and has asked aspiring choirs to send her a five or ten-minute film of them performing, with the winner set to be chosen the week before the Fringe starts.
The comedian was heavily criticised in 2002 for a show which included songs about the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, and for a promotional shot which had her legs superimposed where the towers should be and a plane heading towards them.
Tina C's Tick My Box runs at the Udderbelly's Pasture venue from August 1 to 25.
