A CHARITY song written as a tribute to Scottish soldiers is to be launched at Edinburgh Castle on Friday.
Singer/songwriter Terry Moore performs The Ladies from Hell, with pipers and drummers from all five Scottish battalions.
The Army School of Bagpipe music, based at the Castle, provided direction.
Mr Moore, from Hamilton, Lanarkshire, said: “The idea for the song came to me after driving past an old Army barracks.
“I was thinking about the old Scottish regiments and what changes had taken place in the British Army. I wrote the song as tribute to Scottish soldiers of the past, present and future.”
All money from sales of the CD single will be donated to veterans’ charity Combat Stress.
Sgt Callum McLeod, an Army recruiter involved in the project, said: “When Terry got in touch with me I was intrigued. It’s great when a member of the public wants to support our troops and is willing to spend so much of his time helping our soldiers.” The CD can be bought from the website
