Victim jailed for contempt
A MAN seriously injured in a stabbing has been jailed for two years as his alleged attacker was freed.
Chaavan Medaci, 21, had been accused of breaking a court-imposed curfew and attempting to murder Neil Cowan, 27.

Advocate depute Neil Beardmore dropped the charges when Cowan refused to answer further questions. Judge Lord Uist then imposed the prison sentence for contempt of court.
