A MAN has been found collapsed in a pool of blood in a city street after being stabbed several times.

The 22-year-old was today in a serious condition in hospital.

He was seen staggering out of a flat in Cambridge Gardens, in Leith, before collapsing round the corner in Pilrig Street.

Police were called at 4.25pm, and together with paramedics, helped the victim to his feet before taking him to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. They said he had been "seriously injured" and had several stab wounds.
