A TALENTED young Scottish golfer has been killed in a car crash.
Twenty-two-year-old Stuart Hutchison died after his Renault Clio collided with a Land Rover Freelander.

The young man, from Clovenfords in the Scottish Borders, died following the crash at about 3:30pm on Wednsday.

In a statement, his family said yesterday: "Stuart was a loving son and cherished brother to Lorna, brother in-law to Mark, and devoted uncle to Callum.

"Stuart's life was his passion for golf and he was due to start his second year as a PGA assistant.

"Stuart will be sorely missed by all his family and his many friends."

Mr Hutchison had been travelling south on the A7, three miles north of Stow, when the crash happened.

The A7 was closed for seven hours while investigations were carried out.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
