Glass bottle attack on city shopkeeper
A SHOPKEEPER was attacked with a glass bottle after an argument broke out in a city centre grocery store.
Two men hit the man with a bottle and an umbrella over the head at the Broughton Street shop at 5.30pm yesterday. They then fled the scene in a green Lexus parked outside the shop.
The victim was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a head wound.
Both suspects are described as black, in their early 20s, around 6ft tall, of thin build, and with short dark hair.
One of the men was clean-shaven, while the other had stubble. They were both wearing smart, dark clothing.
Police are anxious to speak to anyone with information.
