CHEFS from across the Lothians have been recognised in a prestigious awards ceremony.
Seven chefs from the region were crowned winners at the annual Scottish Chef Awards, which were held in Glasgow last night and are widely regarded as the country's "culinary Oscars".

Among the award winners were Sean Kelly from Edinburgh's Abstract restaurant, who was named the best restaurant chef of the year, and Malcolm Webster from the Sheraton Grand, who was named hotel chef of the year.

They were joined by Jason Gallagher from the Stockbridge Restaurant, who was named city chef of the year and Richard Glennie of Zucca, who won the new restaurant of the year award.

Danella Cocchia, from the Osterian in North Berwick, picked up an award when he was named rural chef of the year.

A host of other chefs from the Lothians were awarded silver and bronze awards at the ceremony.
