A multi-million-pound revamp of one of Edinburgh's ugliest buildings has been given the final seal of approval.
Councillors have granted permission for the scheme, which would see a 1970s building on Osborne Terrace transformed into new offices, cafes and a restaurant.

The £5 million project has been designed to be a landmark in Haymarket by architects Broadway Malyan.

The scheme will also see a new facade created on the building, as well as an extra storey added.

Martin Bates, director of Broadway Malyan's Edinburgh office, said: "We are delighted to have received planning consent for the modernisation of No 1 Osborne Terrace.

"The proposals have been designed to embrace the principles of sustainable development and to adapt the building to suit the needs of today's office user."

I'll pay someone to crash a lorry into it. Seems to be the only way to get something demolished here.
