1600 Royal Bank of Scotland staff evacuated in bomb alert
AROUND 1600 employees of the Royal Bank of Scotland were evacuated this morning following a bomb threat at a city centre office.
Staff took to the streets after the scare at the bank's Fettes Row premises.
A police spokesman said: "We got the call at around 12.15pm and the building was evacuated following a bomb threat."
It is understood the call was a hoax and no suspect devices were found.
A Royal Bank of Scotland spokesman said police were dealing with the matter.
