Young chefs win top title

ASPIRING teenage chefs have impressed judges to win a cooking competition.
Preston Lodge pupils Ashley Buchanan and Christie Sinclair have been named East Lothian Young Chefs 2008.

They competed against three other pairs of finalists from schools across the county. The competition, in its eighth year, is to encourage high standards of food preparation and can be a springboard for a career in the catering industry. The chefs use local produce in their dishes.
