Students face car headache

STUDENTS are to be prevented from parking their cars in residential streets near Queen Margaret University.
East Lothian Council has won its battle to have a £15,000 permit scheme introduced in the area surrounding the Musselburgh campus – giving householders priority parking.
The council proposed the idea last February, but received more than 500 objections. But on referral of the plan to the Government, the parking permit scheme was this week approved.
