Silver win for fireman Stuart

A Lothian and Borders firefighter won the silver medal in the World Firefighters' Games triathlon.
Stuart Sanderson led a Lothian team that was part of an international field of more than 180 triathletes from 14 countries.

Mr Sanderson, competing in the Masters 40-49 men's category finished in a time of 2:32:03, narrowly beating Belgian Alain Provoost to secure second place.

The Tenth World Firefighters Games ran from August 24 to September 2 in Liverpool. Some 3000 firefighters from around the world took part.
