HUNDREDS of residents have taken part in a public consultation over proposed beach parking charges in East Lothian.
East Lothian Council sent out questionnaires earlier this year about the scheme, which would see charges introduced at its 13 beach car parks. Money would go towards improving facilities at local beaches.

Improving facilities? what a load o gish eh? what facilities? Jet skiing? deck chair rental? suntan lotion booths? condom cleanup? fannypad filters? The minute ye jump oot yer car doon the beach ye land in a pile o dugshite. Have the cooncil actually been to the beach recently? Doubt it!
