KEEN photographer Muriel Proctor is staging her first photography exhibition at the age of 83.
The grandmother-of-two from North Berwick, has decided to show her best work using a traditional camera in a show called "Three Generations" with her daughter and grand-daughter.

The 83-year-old decided to take up photography 11 years ago after her husband Alistair died, using his old camera. She said: "Alistair was a hobbyist photographer and I started using his camera after he died before getting my own one. All my pictures are taken on film.

"I don't think much of digital cameras. Photography was an opportunity for me to do something new and remember Alistair with. The camera has become my constant companion and I think Alistair would have liked the pictures in the exhibition."

Many of Muriel's photographic cards of North Berwick have already been sold in local galleries and shops.

Her exhibition includes vivid sunsets, cloudscapes and seascapes captured in and around North Berwick. It is being staged in Blairgowrie, the town where she spent her married life. It opened last week and runs daily from 9am to 5pm until May 16.
