£1.75m boost for volunteers

LUNCH clubs and day centres will share in a £1.75 million funding boost from East Lothian Council.
More than 50 voluntary organisations and groups providing social care have been awarded grants this week.

These include the Lothian Centre for Integrated Living, the East Lothian Community Care Forum and Carers of East Lothian, as well as day centres for older people.

Councillor Ruth Currie, council adult social care leader, said: "Voluntary groups and organisations provide invaluable services."
