BURNLEY manager Owen Coyle has boosted his striking options with the capture of Steven Thompson from Cardiff City on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old, who has 16 caps for Scotland, has agreed a two-year deal at Turf Moor. Thompson played for Dundee United and Rangers in the Premier League before his move to Wales in 2006.
