BARCELONA'S pre-season tour matches in Scotland are to be broadcast live on Setanta.
The Catalan club visit Scotland for the second year in a row this summer as newly appointed head coach Josep Guardiola prepares for the forthcoming season in La Liga.

Barcelona kick off their tour on the evening of Thursday 24 July when they play
Hibs at Murrayfield Stadium, closely followed by a visit to Tannadice two days later on 26 July for a re-match with Dundee United, who they beat 1-0 last year with a Thierry Henry goal.

Coverage from Murrayfield begins at 7pm, and the programme from Tannadice starts at 3:30pm for the Saturday afternoon fixture.

Meanwhile, Hibs striker Damon Gray says he would jump at the chance to return to Partick Thistle on loan next season – if he can't make his mark at Easter Road.

Firhill manager Ian McCall has expressed an interest in taking the ex-Newcastle youth back to the First Division outfit next term.

The highly-rated 19-year-old spent two months with the Jags last season and netted four goals, including a memorable strike in a Scottish Cup quarter-final draw with Rangers at Ibrox in March.

Gray is gearing up for an early pre-season return at Hibs but he faces strong forward competition from the likes of Steven Fletcher, Colin Nish, Abdessalam Benjelloun and Clayton Donaldson.

The young Geordie is confident of making the grade under Mixu Paatelainen, but is pleased to know Partick are still interested in him.

He said: "I'm going back to Hibs for pre-season and we'll take it from there.

"If I'm doing well and in the first team then great, but if not then I have to weigh up my options. Partick is something I might need to look at.

"It's always nice to know managers are after you and good to see a team like Partick are keen on me.

"I'd heard something about them wanting me back after I left.

"But first and foremost, I want to do well at Hibs, that's my goal. If I'm not playing, then I'll look around."

I would imagine this will lead to a drop in ticket sales.
