Ford fails to win vote

THE councillor who hit the headlines when he used his casting vote to dump the £1 billion Trump golf development last night failed in his attempt to become the new rector of Aberdeen University.
Martin Ford came second in the contest to succeed Robin Harper, the leader of the Scottish Green Party, losing out to Stephen Robertson, a graduate of Aberdeen University and a member of the popular comedy team behind Scotland the What?.

Its extremely sad.

Just to let you know, 850+ students voted for Martin Ford-Dumped and Trumped he was not.

Stephen Robertson was tough opposition and will hopefully make an excellent rector.

Well that's one the PR Company he employs can't help him with.

I guess when the students reviewed Ford's pathetic performance as a councillor they decided that he was really quite incapable of representing the majority and would always attempt to present and develop extreme minority views which would always be against the common good.

The sooner Martin Ford accepts his failure the sooner he can resign from Aberdeenshire Council and take up full time tree hugging and mobile dune watching.
