Davis to debate civil liberties

FORMER Tory frontbencher David Davis will share a platform with veteran left-winger Tony Benn today as he continues his bid to be re-elected to the House of Commons.
Mr Davis returned to his former Haltemprice and Howden constituency in East Yorkshire yesterday after he resigned as an MP this week.

He is due in Hull to debate civil liberties with the former Labour cabinet minister at Hymer's College.

#3 a man of principle?? He supports 4 weeks detention but not 6 weeks. Is the difference between those a matter of principle or just one of judgement?
