WITH Harrison Ford dusting off his hat and bull whip for another bout of relic-hunting, it seems fitting for this George Lucas series to get the same Lego makeover that Star Wars received a few years ago. Once again, Travellers Tales has made a fun a
nd charismatic title for young and old alike.
Charting the events of the first three films, you control Indy, the troublesome Short Round and love interest Marion through many fun and colourful stages. This time around, though, there are a few more puzzle elements than in Lego Star Wars.
For example, if you spot a treasure chest on a high ledge but the lift to the platform is broken, you may have to find some bananas to barter with the cheeky monkeys who have stolen the repair tools. It's a simple system, but it keeps the gameplay fresh.
Special mention must go to the game's comic touches, such as a hilarious set-piece from Raiders of the Lost Ark in which Indy and his guide are chased down by a large square boulder, or the ability to use Indy's whip to reel in your female sidekick for a kiss, only to be slapped. It all lends the game tons of character.
Fighting is fun, and there are many secrets to find and coins to collect. With the old-school platforming set to John Williams's original film soundtrack, this will please Indy fans and keep them amused for weeks.
