Green issues on agenda at Spokes event

THE issues of climate change, peak oil and the Government's cycling policy will be discussed at a the Spring meeting of cycling lobby group Spokes.
Among the speakers will be Dr Mandy Meikle of Depletion Scotland, who will be speaking on energy supply and peak oil.

Kirsty Lewin, head of the SNP sustainable transport team, will also be speaking.

The meeting takes place on March 19 from 6.45pm at the Augustine United Church.

If they are genuine about green issues they could perhaps advise the assembled veloistas that a green traffic signal means GO, not a red one!
