SCOTS singer Susan Boyle is "in a great place" as she warms up to star in the final of America's Got Talent, according to her family.
Her brother Gerry spoke of Boyle's confidence about her trip to the United States where she will perform the Rolling Stones classic, Wild Horses and promote her new album.

He said: "She is in a great place right now and very confident about her career at this point as her new album apparently sounds excellent."

Despite Boyle, 48, who is nicknamed SuBo, having a breakdown recently, she is feeling much better and is ready to take on America.

Gerry said: "This is a totally different set of circumstances and Susan is totally more relaxed."

This is all rather strange when the Americans are supposed to be boycotting all things Scottish? Strange what music can do to forget things. Congratulations Susan, knock them bandy!

Susan Boyle is the product of professional studio work. A decent recording studio could make Maureen Reese sound good if they wanted to---and they frequently make other non-musicians sound good too.

The acid test is the live performance and when I saw Boyle do that, the second note she hit was bum and she lost her phrasing soon afterwards.

SuBo sings a tribute by Mick and Keef to the late Gram Parsons. GP was one of the few real trailblazers in modern music.

For any potential new Rolling Stones fans, stick Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street in your collections 10/10 on each. Enjoy!! Sorry not able to add Andy Warhole's tongue to this.

Now who the hell would want to boycott Scotland ? It's as bonkers as boycottin French wine.

I can envisage the boycotters pickettin SuBo shows "Go home Scottie !" or kickin hell oot o' haggises. And even drinkin Jack Daniels other than a fine Highland malt.
The sacrifices some folk make !
